CREATIVE RESILIENCE

Creative Resilience is a community art experience produced by The People's Project powered by the Los Angeles Federation of Labor.

From October 8 – 16, 2022, the Los Angeles Arts District will be the site of musical performances, educational workshops, and showcase over 100 works of art by more than 50 visual artists. Artists inlcude Reginald W. Armstrong, Deborah Aschheim, Chelle Barbour, Sharon Barnes, Lili Bernard, Gregory Bojorquez, Sheila Pree Bright, Dan Bueller, Danie Cansino, Adeola Davies-Aiyeloja, Kate DeCiccio, Janet Diaz, Martin Durazo, Shepard Fairey, Gabe Gault, Craig George, Caroline Geys, Jay Lynn Gomez, Hely Omar Gonzalez, Daniela García Hamilton, Glenn Hardy Jr., Carla Jay Harris, Connie Cagampang Heller, Brian Herrera, Annie Hong, Jesse Raine Littlebird, Aaron Maier-Carretero, Narsiso Martinez, Stephanie Mercado, Alex Michel, Nikkolos Mohammed, MEAR ONE, Samuel Pace, Claudia Peña, Carlos Ramirez, Favianna Rodriguez, Kayla Salisbury, Danielle SeeWalker, Eliseo Art Silva, Yarrow Slaps, Dan Tague, Hank Willis Thomas, Jazmín Urrea, Keith Walsh and Mer Young. 

The event will shine a light on BIPOC Angeleno workers' experience of pre- and post-pandemic economic hardship and their rich history of coming together through mutual aid to care for and support one another. Creative Resilience will include a Mutual Aid Expo related to work, artful depictions of solidarity, workers, challenges for workers in the past and present, and an envisioning of the future of LA labor.
