The University of Arizona Museum of Art collection is composed of approximately 7,000 works of art spanning multiple centuries and cultures. The Vault Show creates an opportunity for artworks to come out of storage and into the galleries, showcasing our permanent collection in new and invigorating ways.
This iteration features new acquisitions that were purchased by or generously gifted to the museum within the past five years, creating an aesthetically and thematically-diverse exhibition. A wide range of media, periods, cultures, and artistic styles are represented, woven together by one common thread — The University of Arizona Museum of Art.
This exhibition curated by Violet Rose Arma, Curatorial Assistant, is supported by the Jack and Vivian Hanson Endowment with Spanish translations provided by Jaime Fatás-Cabeza.
