ZACKARY DRUCKER: The Skew

Thinking critically about the structure of the diversity talk, Zackary Drucker appropriates the format of women-centered, roundtable talk shows such as “The View” to explore issues of identity, transgender representation, and the illusory nature of celebrity culture. The panel of transgender guests on The Skew (2015) include actor Van Barnes (Transparent); Precious Davis, community activist and assistant director of diversity recruitment initiatives at Columbia College; Jen Richards, co-director of The Trans 100 and creator of We Happy Trans; and Angelica Ross, executive director and CEO of TransTech Social Enterprise. The Skew was presented at the MCA Chicago on February 18, 2015 and ran over one hour.
