Installation view in Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art expansion
Mendoza's Coyota/e is on view in the inaugural presentation of the new Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art expansion, designed by Safdie Architects. In this reinstallation, overseen by Austen Barron Bailly, the museum's Deputy Director of Curatorial Affairs, Coyota/e straddles the “Color and Form” and “History in Action” sections which explore how artists experiment with materiality and abstraction, and also respond to political events with a particular focus on borders and nation building.
